White Sox: 2005 Raible Cup Champions!

It's over.

Well at least it's over for 2005.

After a long grueling tournament that involved over forty games, the Steve Raible Sunship Cup tournament is over and the Chicago White Sox were crowned Celestial League Champions of 2005.

"Not much left to do now, but set up a tournament for 2006," bragged Doug Snazel during the celebration.

The team lead by the Magic Johnson All-Star ownership group, barnstormed their way through the Dons Division, and then eliminated the Astros, Red Sox and Phillies on their way to the championship.

The White Sox are now 9-4 overall in Celestial League play, the best record in the American League. They feature an incredible lineup with Joe Jackson, Frank Thomas in his prime, Eddie Cicotte, Jack McDowell, Bobby Thigpen, Bobby Jenks and Paul Konerko.

"They will tough to beat," remarked Babe Ruth who attended the championship game. "But we'll be ready for them for next year's tournament."
