Home made tortiere and putin were presented to Gagne before the game. The Quebecois and two Jewish kids combined for a thrilling and convincing Dodger win.

MVP: Sandy Koufax

At the end of the game, Montreal fans had turned. Cheering for their beloved and soon departed Montreal Expos one last time, by the time the 9th inning had arrived, they had found a new hero.

Eric Gagne, native son of Quebec and pitching against Expos greats Tim Raines, Andres Galaragga and Orlando Cabrera went 1-2-3 to shut the door and get the save.

Raines noticed by the time he hit the plate, the crowd was rooting for Gagne.

"Damn frenchmen," he lamented, "bad enough the coke here is cut with talcum, but to see your own 300 dollar escort root against you in the stand, well that hurts," said Raines.

Sandy Koufax pitched one of the greatest games, League Five Are has ever seen, going 8 innings and giving up just 2 runs. Meanwhile his spiritual compadre, Shawn Green, blasted a go ahead homerun in the 6th inning.

"Happy freakin' Yom Kippur, I guess" sniped a bitter Andre Dawnson.

Pete Rose was hired by the Expos to celebrate his 4000th hit, which he earned in an Expos uniform. They were forced to pay Rose $50,000 for a single pinch hit in the 9th inning, Rose grounded meakly to Pee Wee Reese on the first pitch.
