Now decades later, due to the magic of celestial technology, Gabby Hartnett has done it again. He hit a three run shot today off Tom Seaver, to seal a Cliegg Five Are, National League pennant for the Cubs.
"Cliegg Five Are," asked Gabby after the game? "What the hell is that? Oh well, I try not to worry about it too much, I knew this was a title game and we'd be declared the best NL team of Season 3, if we won it. That's all I know and I'm glad we won."
The Cubs will move on to face either the White Sox or Indians in the Season 3 World Series.
